Why should I? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
As a leader at Staunton High School in Staunton, Illinois, I served as Class President for 3 years, Float & Prom committee chairman for 4 years, Student Council member & treasurer for 4 years and a delegate for the SC at the Illinois Association of Student Council Convention in Chicago. I attended the Southern Illinois Youth Leadership Conference. and I was a D.A.R.E. role model for young children. I was a member of "Who's Who Among American High School Students" for 2 years and the National Honor Society for 2 years serving as Speaker for 1 year. I was on the scholastic bowl team and the golf team. I received the "Lt. Governor's Award for Youth Excellence" for my duties in civic responsibilities my Senior year. I received this award for my volunteerism with the Salvation Army, USPS, American Red Cross, Muscular Dystrophy Association, local nursing home, Staunton Chamber of Commerce, Staunton CCI, U of I Extension Office's Community Swap, PTP2001, SHS office, & SHS cafeteria. I have had numerous jobs, the most exciting being at Shawnee Studios Model Management and with the Illinois Liquor Control's Commission. Over this past summer, I attended, by invitation, the Presidential Classroom and served as a scholar for the trip in Washington DC. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

As a freshman at Bradley University, I have been accepted into the Bradley Fellows program based out of the Lewis Berger Center for Student Leadership and Public Service. I also plan on becoming involved in BU's drama department as well as with numerous clubs/organizations. Yet, I would love to continue my love of politics through the Bradley University Student Senate. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
